Learning the Art of Shabby Chic

Hi all.

Had a fantastic time at Tracy Payne's workshop last Sunday.  We went over distress ink colouring and this time I managed to colour the skin without giving her the look of a over the top self tanning session!

We then went on to create the actual card itself.  We used a really useful worksheet, which broke down the process bit by bit.  We used kits that Tracy provided, which had some gorgeous papers and Noor! Design die cuts and some beautiful embellishments (not forgetting fabulous gesso, which is now my best friend).

I had a great day and met some lovely people.  Tracy even provided fresh pastries, which I couldn't resist.

Many thanks to Tracy and her lovely family for looking after us all.

The finished article :)

Learning how to colour ... Properly

I used to love colouring as a child but adult colouring is a completely different ball game.

I have enrolled in a hair and skin tutorial by Kit and Clowder, which is fab and here is some of my very early results. The stamp is Wool and Lucy by CC Designs.

I used Copics E000, E00, E11, E04, E21 and R20.

My cards

Finally managed to get around to taking some decent photos of some of my cards.

This card was made using Tonic dies. I absolutely love their craft goodies. They are so easy to use and I always get fantastic results.

What do you think?

Hmmmmmm

Good evening.

I've been looking at this card most of the day trying to decide what to add in the way of embellishments. It's like trying to remember the name of someone; what I should add is on the tip of my slightly slow brain!

Finally decided to add pearlescent roses and pearls. I don't want to over complicate it.

Before I finally complete it though I need to finish the dinner. Have a good evening all x

Trying out some apps

Trying to find an easy way to blog on the run.....

Clearly not actually running. I'm 36 with a knackered back, so a slow crawl is more apt!
